The Department of Science and Technology agencies may help Filipinos of all ages to industrialize the Philippines through science and extensive research. It may enhance the performance of the research by simply improving the quality of a substance or the overall impact it will leave on the consumer. Through this journey, I have seen that these agencies may help us complete our goals as researchers in the field of food science.
Industrial Technology Development Institute (ITDI) will help us seal and package our products neatly, cost efficiently, and effectively. It may also innovate our minds into the best way to prevent disintegration of products. Food and Nutrition Research Institute (FNRI) will help us test the product for any harmful substance it might contain. It will also analyse the samples of the cookies and tortilla chips on its nutritional content. It will determine whether the pastries are edible or not depending on their standards. Technology Application and Promotion Institute (TAPI), on the other hand, contains the technology part of the projects. It will focus mainly on the machines and the paperwork. When a product is sold to the market, it must be patented to prevent other people from copying it. TAPI may also fund a student’s research which may prove to be a big help in the long run.
Because our projects are focused on food, these agencies will give its own contribution to the overall success of the project.
